Review content:
My girlfriends and I call this place "Ghetto Sushi". Not that there's ANYTHING wrong with it, but when I first saw the take out menu with the prices, I wrinkled my nose and thought it must be gross.
I was SOOO wrong.
Asahi rivals Fuji or In The Raw any day on quality. But they're in a strip mall behind Toys-R-Us, and because of the lower overhead, they have great prices.
Their sushi list is 2 pages. The first page is 1/2 price all day, every day. Get a spicy tuna roll or califorina roll for under $3, and it's a quality roll!
The second page is the more decorative specialty sushi. Those prices are comporable to other places, but get one of those and a half price roll, and you'll still wind up spending a lot less than you would at Fuij!
They do serve beer and wine... but the selection is somehwhat limited. They have Saporo and Saki, but only 3 kinds of wine. I would like to see them have a more extensive list, but I won't complain.
Next time you're craving sushi, give them a try!
