Review content:
Truly awful experience. The x-ray technician was careless (and painful), and I was never seen by Dr. Heller himself -- only the other underling dentists. Then, their office tried to charge us incorrect rates because we were with a new insurance company and Dr. Heller's office didn't get the correct rates. \r
After that was resolved, I went in for a checkup and was told I needed to see a specialist. Despite phone calls, Dr. Heller's office NEVER called the insurance-required referal into my insurance company, so I still haven't gone yet (this was 6 months ago).\r
At the same time, my husband went for two root canals, and then bridge work. After we had shelled out about $500 in co-pays (plus the money Dr. Heller's office received from our insurance company), Dr. Heller's office REFUSED to do the bridge work on my husband at the insurance rate -- they said they weren't making enough money off the deal (I QUOTE!). My husband was left with an incomplete root canal, because we refused to go back on principle.\r
We now have to switch dentists, and Dr. Heller's office is charging us $25 each just to send our files to the new office. I would never go back, even though they are local and my new dentist is now an additional 20 minutes away.
Pros: Local
Cons: Sloppy billing, refused service at insurance-set rate
