My husband and I recently moved to the Columbia area (Military PCS) and were extremely disappointed in a home that we had rented via craigslist - I was trying to get out of our lease and find a new home in a city/part of the country that I was not familiar with at all within 10 days. After a few days of driving around and speaking unsuccessfully with various leasing agents - I literally drove by this branch and went into their office to ask about listings. I don't think that they knew this but i was literally about to have a mental break down (start crying on the side of the road) because I was so upset and frustrated. The receptionist told me that they did not have lease listings at this branch and as I turned to walk away she asked me to hold on and began trying to find info /contact numbers for me. At this point the broker in charge - Chip Daniels heard my situation and came out to speak with me. He literally spent close to an hour -showing me maps, explaining how real estate worked in the area, and pulling listings from other agents for me - he even went as far as to scan a list that I had made from craigslist and tell me which were good houses or not! This office's service was so exceptional and above what they needed to do I am still SO THANKFUL over a week later. They literally could gain nothing from helping me and yet they were so much kinder and more helpful then any of the leasing agents I spoke with in the area. If I were ever to buy a home in the Columbia area I would surely turn to this office and I would highly recommend them to those that need an agent!
