Review content:
I've been a customer of Sam's Grill since 1999; over those years, I've gotten to enjoy many, if not all, the items on their menu. Most of them are very tasty, the portions generous and served with a smile. \r \r Here are some of the best things on the menu: \r \r The grilled portabello/mozzarella sandwich is to die for! The huge portabella mushroom is marinated in a slightly sweet but tangy teriyaki sauce. It is then grilled on a smoky fire. The mushroom is layered with fresh mozzarella cheese, fresh leaves of baby spinach, grilled onions, a touch of mayo, some grilled red peppers and a slight touch of honey mustard all stacked high on a big and fresh roll. Add a Kosher pickle spear on the side and enjoy. Mmmm. This sandwich is a fave of vegetarians and carnivores alike and is so big...you can make a whole meal out of it!\r \r Their Challa bread French toast is light, rich, perfectly done and is just right for a light breakfast. The warm maple syrup and real butter that accompany it make the combo complete. Add a definitely non-Kosher rasher of bacon or patty of sausage on the side, if you'd like, and you'll have a meal that will satisfy even the most ravenous! \r \r Their coffee is rich, hot and freshly-brewed; the waitresses appear at your elbow as if by magic with a refill. Nice touch!\r \r Their French fries? Don't get me started! A huge plate, big enough to share, of hot, golden, crispy outside/soft and smooth inside will disappear in minutes with my crowd. They simply do not need ketchup or salt or ANYthing to be perfect.\r \r The bleu cheese dressing is a keeper! It isn't that glue-y, gloppy mess that has no taste like so many restaurants serve. The dressing at Sam's is light and tangy! \r \r Negatives?\r \r Their breakfast hours are kind of strange: they don't even open till 9am. As a morning person Monday-Friday, Id like to have breakfast before that. Saturdays, though, 9 is fine.\r \r All in all, Sam's Grill is a great place for a date, with the family or by yourself. \r
