I have taken my 16ft with 50 hp outboard here for 2 years only to learn they never do the service work (changing oil, plugs, filters, lower unit). I found out when they didn't change out my water fuel separator filter and then couldn't keep the engine going out at Bonneville Dam salmon fishing. Not a fun time. They charge you $150 and do nothing. I marked all my plugs and filters with a pen before I returned and had them now replace the water/fuel filter they missed, neglected . . . whatever. They still didn't do the service I paid for. So I showed them where I had marked things up. They weren't happy having to admit they were ripping me off.
2 weeks ago I serviced my 50 hp myself. Yep, my plugs, filters were the originals from 2 years ago. Everything was fouled up. R&M took my money and lied about doing the work for 2 years. What a wrong.
I took my boat to Northwest Inflatable Boats in Portland and had Josh service my Nissan kicker that was stalling out. Yes, I had bought it from RM Marine. They hadn't serviced the kicker either. Josh took off the engine cover and found tubes disconnected, carb all gunked up, plug was fouled, too. Northwest Inflatable Boats serviced my kicker on the spot--no problems now.
Don't go to R&M!! Mike is an arrogant jerk. Hoss hates doing the work I guess. Nothing but bad attitudes. Like the other reviewer, these jokers don't care. You will only get ripped off at R&M.
