Review content:
Valentines Day we decided to grab some food at this little place since its so close to our home. We've never been there before but thought it would be authentic mexican food. Everything smelled good and looked good when we came in, but this is not Mexican food by any means. It seemed like someone interpretation of what they though mexican food should taste like. We ordered the pork tamales, chicken & steak chimichaga, chicken enchiladas, chili relanos, and a kids cheese quesadilla. So we had a large variety to choose from. Our bill totalled nearly $70 even with a military discount. The rice is plain and beans seem like they are from a can and they just tossed some cheese on top of them. My relanos were soggy and in a thin tomatos sauce that was flavorless. The enchiladas were covered in a overwhelmingly dark sauce with too much garlic. The tamales were again ""blah"" and dry . We've bought better tamales from a man in Colorado who made them in his kitchen at home and sold them door to door & to local stores. My husband said his chimichagas were okay-not great but he wishes we had went to Cholos on the North Shore instead but its a long drive from our house. Next time I would say use the gas! My son wouldn't even eat his cheese quesadilla - something so simple he said it was gross. I'm not a foodie or anything but this was not good & over priced. Don't waste your money unless you want someones poor version of what they think mexican food is. I will say the owner or manager was a very nice guy and the customer service was great - but if the food doesn't cut it then no amt of great customer service will bring anyone back. Pros: good customer service Cons: Overpriced/Expensive, Bland, Tasteless & cheaply made
