Review content:
I normally go to a general practioner rather than an OBGYN, but I had a super personal question that I thought required the expertise of an OBGYN. So, not knowing anyone here in town I choose Dr. Simotas because of her location relative to where I work. I went early assuming there would be loads of paperwork, as is typical. After I finished the paperwork I waited an additional 30 minutes before I was taken back to get weighed and have my blood-pressure taken. The nurse asked me all the typical family history questions that I had JUST answered on another form - but that was ok, at least they were attempting to communicate. I was then taken into an exam room and told to change. I did and soon afterwards the doctor came in. I say came in, but what I really mean was she graced me with her presence for all of 2 minutes. The annual exam was so short there's no way I could have asked any of the prepared questions I had before she began backing out of the room. Her feigned concern almost had me going for a minute, but when you ask someone if they have any questions for you as you're backing out of the room with your hand on the door -- kind of hard to believe you'd actually slow down long enough to answer them. So I didn't ask -- I'll save my questions for a doctor that's actually concerned about my wellbeing. Pros: Office staff seemed friendly enough. Cons: No dr-patient interaction.
