Review content:
My fiance and I have brunched here a few times and always leave feeling fat and happy. The first time we ventured into Stan's we lucked out on the smaller table by the french windows. the interior is bright and airy, with a New Orleans French quarter style balcony overlooking the main dining area. \r \r we normally order beignets, coffee and fresh orange juice to start and then mull over the menu while we wait for them to arrive. First time I had the fried oyster poboy - it's a weakness of mine and stan's did not disappoint. My favorite dish to date has to be the eggs sardou however, poached eggs with artichoke and a tasty hollandaise. \r \r the last time we were there I had the catfish fingers with creamy grits. The grits were great, the catfish not bad but a little dry, and that spicy seasoning wreaked some fiery havoc on my irish plumbing. One the other hand, my fiance's bananas foster pancakes were quite yummy.\r \r Hostess and waitstaff were courteous and easy on the eyes. What more could you want?\r
