My husband and I received a gift card from a restaurant website and this was one of the choices. We figured we'd try something new. The restaurant itself looked promising from the outside but I was unimpressed once we entered - when we were seated I noticed that the wall next to me had spatters of something brown on it...which I'll assume was food. My meal came and I was pleased; however my husband ordered the chicken Bracciolettine. The chicken was not properly prepared and under cooked (looked boiled!) and the description listed on the menu differed from the meal that was received. When our waitress came back to ask how everything was he explained that on the menu the description of the chicken Bracciolettine stated chicken stuffed with prosciutto, mozzarella, and spinach. The dish he had received came stuffed with broccoli. The waitress said that the menu was a typo and that the entree is prepared with broccoli - this was after she walked away to check and didn't come back for 10 minutes. When our meal came to an end the waitress offered to wrap up the remaining portion of his meal and he had asked if the entree could be taken off of the bill since he only had 2 bites and was displeased. We were then approached by one of the managers who again apologized and asked if there was anything she could do to fix the problem. Unfortunately it was too late and we were ready to leave. I presented our $25 gift card and my credit card for the remainder of the balance. We were then told that they couldn?t accept the card because the bill came to $34.63 and the check had to be a minimum of $35. So for a difference of .37cents we were not allowed to use our gift card. The issue to me was that once someone complains - and trust me my husband NEVER complains about his food!- something should have been done. I'd never go back. Nothing there was worth it. Too many choices in Salem to bother with here! Pros: In the heart of Salem - great location Cons: food, service, cleanliness
