Review content:
I had heard bad things about the City of Bell Police Department; but those complaints were--obviously--from the wrong side of the tracks. If you're a mouthy, law-breaking type, you probably won't like the Bell Police at all, because they consider the source and don't take a lot of guff from low-life types.\r \r If you're a family sort of person--law-abiding and responsible--you will certainly appreciate the calm approach the Bell Police Department officers take to preserving the peace and the property rights of good citizens.\r \r I have found the Police Department personnel to be considerate and helpful, at all levels of public exposure....until they are confronted with a belligerent sort of person who is actively seeking to escalate a perceived confrontation between themselves and the police.\r \r We are family-types who happen to live next door to 4 individuals who happen to be laboring under the myth that, between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 10:00 P.M., there is no such thing as disturbing the peace; which means that their automotive sub woofers share ""The Boom"" with the entire neighborhood.\r \r The last time we called the police about their drunken reveries, one low-life type decided that *he* was going to cow the responding officer, and show him that *he* was boss, not the police officer, and not the law. He was joined by 4 other squad cars as back-up, and the responding officer poked the man in the chest, emphatically telling him that his only choice was to turn off the music and go inside for the rest of the night, or to have his vehicle impounded, and spend a few days in jail.\r \r Peace was restored to our block.
