Review content:
I went there in 2010. I went bought a Subwoofer Enclosure prefab of Rockford Fosgate P2 12's with a Prime 500.1 amp. The amp was only for 2 ohm or 4 ohm. The enclosure was only dual 4 ohm subs wired as 4 ohm. So the amp was only pushing 300 watts rms to the enclosure that was rated for 500 rms. It bumped decent, but it overheated after an hour and half, and would shut off. It is not the ground, and I will tell you why after a while. So after getting tired of amp shutting off I went to Sound Warehouse and said it keep shutting off. They told me it was the ground and they redid the ground on the amp. It still did it. So I went and rigs a cross flow fan mounted on top of enclosure to blow across fan and it kept it cool, but I did not like the fact that I was only getting partial of watts I needed for the subs. So I went back again, and told them I want an amp that runs these subs better. They took back the amp and sold me the t500.1bd just before the new constant power was release. Oh well, but after they said they would take back the other amp and sell the t500.1bd for $350 it was a store display model. I said go ahead, but I asked them to rewire Subwoofers to 1 ohm. I even asked them again after install if the rewired subs to 1 ohm they said yes. I did not trust them at all. So I drove to California Audio in West Valley and ask the guy there to take one sub off and see what they were wired too. I watched and looked at subs and they were still wired at 4 ohm. I went back to Sound Warehouse, and discussed with Mike is who the one that helped me every time is. He says to me that the enclosure is premade at 1 ohm. I looked online on Rockford Fosgate site, and it says enclosure is wired at 4 ohm. Then he finally gave up said he would have installer rewire it to 1 ohm. They finally did it right this time. It sounded better. I came back and got some deadening put under trunk lid, and later put new Kenwood p508 component speakers up front. They did set crossover on tweeter on -2db and my rear 6x9's pioneers 5-way were louder than the tweeters, and I did yesterday just changed them to 0db and now they match sound front and back evenly. They did give me good discounts, but there information about car audio is off. The store clerk Mike is a little out of information on things and needs to go online a research some things before telling the customer information about a product they don't fully understand about. I put more money into the system than the car and now the car need repair. I do need a HO alternator, because the car will rev up after a half hour to an hour of listening to music while car is running, bumping really loud. Car uses up gas fast when it revs up engine to keep up with the system. I recommend to do research before going to this store. If you go to buy new Rockford enclosures now, they are wired at 1 ohm now. If they tell you not to have amp and enclosure not at 1 ohm and is hard on electrical, they are partially right. My entire car does is like I said before is my car revs up. I got an 80 amp alternator stock in car. If I had HO alt. it would not do it anymore. I forgot to say that after the new t500.1bd amp was installed I have never ever since install had shutoffs with it wired at 1 ohm. Set at best gain for it and all it does is pushing the alternator to run harder that is it.
