Review content:
I was looking for a place to have my Wedding Cake made at, and of course, Bethel Bakery came very highly recommended. I went and sampled a few cookies, cupcakes, and even had a regular cake made, (was getting stuff for a going away party). The pastries were AWFUL! I have tasted better pastries from Giant Eagle or other bakeries for a much better price.\r
\r
At the same time, I tried to arrange to have an appointment to look at cakes and plan that portion of things. The people behind the counter couldn'tve been less helpful. After being completely ignored for ten minutes, when I was finally able to get someones' attention, the first person told me that I didn't ""look"" like someone who would be able to afford a wedding cake from them!\r
\r
The second person went and got the date book, but miraculously, all my available openings to make an appointment were booked! (Out of 5 days during the week where I am available all day, they had no openings on any of those days...) But someone came in right behind me and scheduled an appointment for the exact same time I wanted, and they had no scheduling issues.\r
\r
I wouldn't eat from Bethel Bakery if it was the LAST BAKERY ON EARTH!
Pros: Well known across the city
Cons: Poor Customer service, bad tasting pastries
