I guess we can take it for granted that folks use this site to complain, although I wonder if they ever come back and report their problems have been solved. Something the complainers seem to have in common is a poor me, woe is me, victim mentality. No, the homeowners association isn't playing favorites, but maybe you aren't getting maintenance done when you want it done--so check back with the Maintenance Department and then if you don't get satisfaction raise the problem to the Board of Trustees. We can be both persistent and reasonable. The volunteer trustees certainly don't want members to receive less than satisfactory service, but do treat them like human beings; they're not being paid enough (like zero $) to take abuse. \r \r Over thirty years ago, when I moved into Rona Village, we were all neighbors and eager to be active members of the association. So, okay, now it's a different world and we're a bigger community. Still, I would encourage homeowners to be involved (get to know your neighbors, read the monthly newsletter, attend monthly Board of Trustees meetings, etc.) Attitude matters! Pros: Beautifully landscaped, quiet, small town vibe but close to I-675/I-70 Cons: Snow!
