Dr. Berner is eccentric, challenging at times, and brilliant. He cares about his patients but he will not tolerate bull and he does not suffer fools gladly.
I have to say that he has helped me out over the past 5 years and intervened to help save my marriage. My husband is very grateful and also sees him now too.
He can really be annoying when he is having a bad day. But he tells you up front that he is having a bad day. I value his expertise, honesty, and caring. He is willing to try new things and gives the patient a lot of control and responsibility over their care.
Seems that people either love him or hate him. I think he's the best.
