Review content:
My wife and I just visited this place on Saturday Feb 16th. I received a coupon for a free specialty drink in the mail, (there was an * that stated that Smoothies were not included as a free drink). Well, we walked in early Sat. morning and went to the counter to order and were greeted by the cashier very nicely. My wife wanted a Medium Latte and asked if the coupon for a specialty drink would work. The cashier said that the coupon only covers 12oz drinks, my wife said that was fine and I ordered a Med Latte. I noticed that the Specialty drinks on the menu only came in a 16, and 24oz size, so I politely asked the cashier to explain. That?s when it started to go down hill, I was fine with her explanation of the coupon value (something about the lattes were a specialty drink and they weren?t part of the promotion?no problem). This is where it gets bad, both lattes were flat as a board (espresso with hot milk), so I asked the barista if I could have a true latte with froth and foam and that I didn?t ask for them ?flat?. Well the belly shirt barista (she looked like she was ready to dance on the counter) unhappily took my drink and added a dollop of foam from a half gallon pitcher of steamed milk and returned it to me?? I politely asked if I could have a new latte made the way a latte should be made. This made her very unhappy and she told me to clam down (I was trying to explain the make-up of a latte to a paid barista). Well she must have been very angry because she had to make the cashier finish the sale as she went to the back room to vent?..wow all this BS over a latte, the cost of remaking my latte (2 shots of espresso and 13oz of milk) seems to be a small cost to pay for all the negative press Kona Fields Coffee on Union will receive from me.\r
