Review content:
I came into Tuscany with several buddies after a hard day on the slopes at Snowbird. We had made a reservation earlier in the day and arrived early not realizing the restaurant was such a close distance to Little Cottonwood Canyon. We started with drinks in the bar and were treated like old friends by the bartender. She made it a hard decision to leave and go to our table because she was so friendly, but alas we are all married. The manager took us to our table by a huge rock fireplace and I wondered if we were actually in Florence, Italy or Salt Lake City. We ordered some appetizers and found the carpaccio to be perfectly rare and the fried calamari to be best we've had. It came with fried shrimp and green beans and was topped with a red pepper aioli that gave it a real zip! Our server recommended the Chicken Scallopini and a bunch of us opted for that and the juicy New York steak special. Both dishes satisfied our craving for Italian fare and beat out any steak we've tried coast to coast. The service was very attentive and quick considering the place was packed with hungry skiers and their families. A few of us had room left for dessert and got the fried bananas with homemade banana ice cream and the house specialty banana cream pie. I would recommend this restaurant for both its outstanding service and food that pleases both Italian food lovers and All-American palates.
Pros: Close to Skiing
