Just because you're a doctor doesn't mean that you know everything. I went to this physician because her prices were right. What a bargain- NOT!\r \r She is not a dermatologist and bragged as much. I should have gone running as soon as I heard that.\r \r The purpose of my visit was to get an IPL and have my sun spots, hyper-pigmentation removed.\r She explained that the IPL pulled melanin from the skin.\r The first session went well. I could see that only the age spots were effected- and the IPL left only the dark areas 'burned'. However on the next visit, she dialed up the power and burned my skin in a rectangle shape! She tried to convince me that my sun spots were being pulled up. I asked how are sunspots/damage only occurring in rectangles??? She didn't answer me but got belligerent and asked 'what do you want me to do."" I replied, ""you're the doctor, I come to YOU because YOU are the professional. You can't ask ME what I want you to do. I want you to fix my sunspots and sunspots do not occur in rectangles!"" I told her that I wanted my 3rd session that I wasn't about to receive for her to burn me more- refunded. She tried to convince me to get microderm, which I've received before without result, but I insisted that she refund me the money. \r On a side note, I happened to meet a woman at the checkout line at the grocery store (a total stranger) who looked at my rectangular burn on my face and all she said to me was , ""Dr. So and so"". I was completely taken back. I said, ""How did you know?"" she then lifted up her bangs and showed me the exact same rectangle scar in the exact same place I had mine. This speaks volumes.\r If you value your face- go somewhere that actually knows what they're doing and won't brag about how they are physicians in a different field (kidneys? liver? she told me but all I could remember is that it wasn't dermatology) and won't complain to you about how bad business is (hmm, wonder why!?) Avoid at all cost Pros: She had a great receptionist Cons: The Dr. doesn't know what she's doing.
