If you're thinking of joining this club, beware. Locker room thefts occur with some frequency, and there is nothing the staff can do about them. Today, for instance, my wallet and keys were stolen out of my locker while I worked out. Nothing can be done about it, it is part of the risk of being a member of this club, especially a male member, I suspect. I report this with sadness because I generally enjoy the atmosphere there, the minor problems that arise don't ruin my experience too much, such as showers that need to be fixed, toilets that need to be unplugged, etc., because they do get taken care of in time. But this is a big one, and it has soured me on the club. It will be hard working out knowing somebody in the same room has ripped me off brutally, upended my life for the time being, and is probably seeking out new prey even as I try to go on and forgot -- even as I pump iron, modestly, and try not to judge or be angry. I don't know whether I'll be able to, frankly. I'm thinking of quitting. So just know if you join that there are thieves in the room, working their game, checking people out, and you have to be super, super cautious about your belongings. That said, I like the staff, they have always been friendly and nice. I just wish security was greatly strengthened. Currently, I am looking into joining a new club, with better security. My sensible routine has been broken, and going to this club is no longer the stress-free part of my life it was. I need a club to work out to forget about this club, at least for the time being. Weld your locker shut. Enjoy the treadmill.
