Businiess name:  Class Act Realty

Review content:
Class Act says that their mission to exclude class in every detail of their business by holding every tenant in high esteem and by treating every person with respect. Their goal is for previous tenants to look back at their rental experience with fond memories of the place that they rented, as well as the management. They also say that “Class Act” is their name and they can be counted on to live up to that label.\r My experience with Class Act Realty was horrible. I was a loyal tenant who was in the same building for 3 years. I paid my rent every month. One month, the rent was late and they sent a person to deliver a 5 day notice to pay rent, plus some fees that they said that was owed from a year and a half ago after they bought the building from the previous realtor. They had NEVER mentioned any extra charges the entire time, until the rent was late. So, they wanted the late rent plus over $200 in charges that they say that is rent, but Class Act couldn’t explain how it was rent. Rent for my unit was $520, not $200. There wasn’t a problem with paying the rent. Class Act said that it was ok to make a partial payment and then the rest could be paid. A few days after they took the payment, they had their lawyers’ type up a financial agreement for over $1,000. Now, they wanted more than double the rent because they added some bogus legal fees that they claimed that I have to pay. On top of them wanting money, they did want to fix anything and continued prolonging to fix my balcony for at least two months. I have pictures of my uncompleted balcony. It consisted of mold, mildew, and the roof leaks. Since I refused to make a payment plan with them for being overcharged, they took me to court for an eviction. These people are not friendly and treat people like dirt. They just want money and do not want to fix anything. They don’t live up to their mission and are horrible realtors and business people. They are getting rich by praying on poor people and students.\r \r \r DON’T EVER RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE STUDENTS AND RESIDENTS; THEY ARE CROOKS AND SLUM LORDS!\r
