D'llands was the name I kept hearing, but apparently my expectations are different than the locals'.\r

I scheduled a pedicure, eyebrow wax, and a haircut. The facility was acceptable. One could tell they were attempting to look a little upscale. But that was the end of the good impressions. My pedicure consisted of soaking my feet in a strong-smelling plain old footbath with scalding water, like you can buy at Target. It wasn't even plugged in for the pleasure of bubbles. The entire pedicure lasted a grand 12 minutes. There was no good scrub with the pumice. They used generic Kroger lotion during my lackluster foot and leg ""massage."" The woman kept scratching me with her overgrown, not well-taken-care-of finger nails. There wasn't even a footstool for resting my feet on during the experience. Nope. My leg was uncomfortably extended, heel resting in the tech's lap.\r

Next came the eyebrow wax. She didn't do a bad job. It looks nice 3 days later. The biggest problem with this part of my experience was the fact that the lady kept pinching my skin with the tweezers, repeatedly. And again, she was scratching me with those nails.\r

Then came the shampoo and haircut. This is where the unbearable scratching came. Those NAILS! She scratched my head, my face, my neck. She kept yanking on my hair, knocking my head off of the sides of the sink like a pinball machine. She left me dripping for 3-5 minutes and then came and hauled me off to her station for the cut. The cut didn't turn out bad, but there was more scratching and yanking my hair. And my hair was left feeling and looking very dry and not especially attractive, even though the cut was good.\r

Bottom line? I'm certainly not going back there for any reason. The entire cost of my day was $87, not including a tip, which I didn't leave. Not too cashy, but so not worth it.
Pros: looks nice, good parking
Cons: not up to par, too pricey for the experience
