Businiess name:  GFL Brent Run Landfill

Review content:
I would not give it any stars if I could. The acceptance of the landfill is motivated by greed. Fact: Prevailing winds in the area are out of the W or SW. Therefore, the smell blows to the next township east. Those residents have no voting rights in Montrose Township (for or against the local governing body) where the landfill is located. Fact: Brent Run landfill is on the extreme eastern side of Montrose township. Most (I would estimate 90% of Montrose township residents) live west (upwind) of the landfill. Most never smell it unless driving by. Go park your car east of Moorish rd. for a few minutes. Now imagine living there. Fact: Montrose Township/Governing body receives money because of the ""Impact"" of the landfill. Excuse me, but shouldn't those ""impacted"" benefit. Like the 10% in the township most affected by the sight, traffic and horrendous smell? Or a great deal of people affected in the next township east? Better yet lets not make this about money. Make it a win-win situation for everyone impacted. Invest the largest portion of the ""impact"" money into more/better power generating equipment and reducing the smell. The community gets its power and impacted residents can breath FRESH air. Supposedly they were adding better equipment by Dec. 2011, but my nose tells me otherwise. Given the above facts, Montrose Township receives the benefits (money) and a small percentage of those township residents have to ""deal"" with it. I propose a solution. If the majority of the township truly wants the landfill expansion, locate the expansion at the far western end of the township. TVD said it best. ""The site is run very professionally with much regard to the surrounding community."" Note it did not say communities.
