I was flying into Baltimore on Monday 3/2/09 to meet with a friend and he told me he had to take me to this place that was on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. The ironic thing is I had just watched an episode that made Captain Crunch french toast and I had tried making it for the guys I work with at the firehouse. I say 'tried' because I kept burning the crunch. Little did I know this was the place he was taking me to. Yes I had the french toast and it was great! The added bonus was we didn't have to wait, as my friend prepared me for that scenario. But it would have been worth waiting for. A totally enjoyable experience...don't miss out on it. Though I couldn't get you to tell me the secret to not burning the toast, I'll keep trying. And I look forward to the next time I'm in your city to seeing you again. If you are ever in Ashtabula, Ohio...please stop into the Ashtabula Fire Dept. and make these guys the Captain Crunch French Toast. You are great people.
