As I have been looking online for bakery recommendations for my upcoming wedding, I was interested to read the reviews for this bakery wondering if others have experienced what I have here. After reading some of the reviews, I created a profile just so I could post here.
I decided to give this bakery a try about 3 years ago and bought a banana nut bread loaf and some other pastries for a work function. I wasn't greeted when I walked in the door and when I took the baked goods to the counter to check out, I was rudely approached. (Later finding out that the person who I purchased from was in fact the owner.) The women that run this place seemed like they couldn't care less that someone was purchasing their products.
Unfortunately, I've purchased the same things that tasted 100 times better at Publix and Kroger for half the price. I am easy to please when it comes to baked good and pastries (as I have always had a sweet tooth) but I was not impressed.
After sharing this news with my co-workers shortly after this encounter, they proceeded to tell me that this business has sponsored a team at Civitan Girls Softball park (which is a non-profit local softball park) and the owner has refused to pay the sponsorship fees for years.
I was disgusted after I heard this. To think I stupidly thought I would give this bakery another shot, that has not happened and will not happen. I'm astonished they're still in business.
Please do not waste your time making comments on this post as I will not be back to this company's page.
