Review content:
I went to return an item today that my husband had lost the receipt to. Instead of being politely told that there are no returns without a receipt, the manager purposely had me wait as she went to get a box of the cereal I was trying to return. She came back and said since my box had expired already, which I had not noticed earlier, she did not think I bought it there. I asked why they would put expired food on the shelves, again her answer was that she did not believe I bought it at the store! Like it is impossible that an expired box could get mixed in. Not to mention that MANY times before has there been expired food on the shelves, especially when there is a sale on an item. \r
\r
When I suggested she scan the box so that it would come up as a Foodland item to prove I bought it there, she refused. Instead, she treated me like a common criminal trying to get something for free. Mind you this was done in front on NUMEROUS customers. She would not even give me a fresh box! Kroger has NO problem at least replacing expired items, even WITHOUT a receipt!\r
\r
I used to tolerate the extremely SLOW cashiers, VERY poor customer service, and the expired food, but now I will NEVER go back there again! They lost a local customer due to their lack of basic common decency skills!\r
\r
I wish this town would get some REAL stores!
Pros: I BEG NO ONE shop at this terrible store!
