My average water bill is usually between $17-$40. This utility company billed me for $97 in one month! It just so happens this was the same full month of billing after they replaced the water meter. When I immediately complained that the meter was obviously malfunctioning, they sent a rep to fix it. The following month my bill was normal BUT St. Johns Water Co refused to refund the ridiculously high bill I was forced to pay. Moreover, their terrible customer service rep FORCED me to wait an entire year before they said they could investigate. Now that I've waited an entire year and proved that my water usage is very low, they STILL REFUSE to refund my money for their bad equipment. It's a shame this is a monopoly on Johns Island. It's appauling!
