Okay, I'll be frank. I'm was a male chauvinist when it came to hair care. Men, I thought, are the only people who understood men's hair. Nevertheless, a friend told me I should try Monique Frugier. And since I know her from the peace movement, I thought I'd give her a try. Several haircuts later, I publicly repent my chauvinism. Mo is my stylist for as long as she chooses to remain a crimper. Besides her expertise as a hair cutter, she's a much better conversationalist than my former barber.
