I used Freight Corner LLC to broker a shipment of machinery from Chicago to Oakland, CA. It was, as advertised, remarkably cheap, and it worked.
Until the Shipper, Vitran, sent me a bill for more than 3 times what I paid Freight Corner, threatening legal action. Seems Freight Corner just keeps the money and neglects paying the shippers they represent. Federal Transportation rules make it then my responsibility.
A month of calls, emails, etc. to Freight Corner have gone unanswered, completely ignored. The person they direct you to has a full mail box (as you can imagine) so the problem is left for the order takers to solve, which they cannot.
AVOID USING THIS COMPANY!
Pros: CHEAP (BECAUSE THEY DO NOT PAY THEIR CARRIERS!)
Cons: TAKE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT PAY CARRIER!
