Review content:
The Darien YMCA Pool and locker room are so dirty that it is surprising that it passes health regulations. The pool is very outdated, especially the children's pool. My kids like to play on the stairs going into the pool and there is a mat on the first step that turns their hands black when they touch it. They have a chair to assist handicap folks that I'm not sure is even in use...it is so rusty and disgusting. The pool deck is probably only mopped on occasion...not sure if it truly has been cleaned. The woman's locker room is a breeding ground for filth. It is unfortunate that it is the only pool in town that you can join immediately. The Y should have also decided to update the pool as well as the gymnastics center.
