In the last few weeks my partner and I have been there about 3 times, but I don't think we will be going back there again. Every time we went there the food and service was just OK. This restaurant is located in the center of an Asian shopping mall with no windows, fluorescent lighting and low acoustic tile ceiling much like an office. Every time we went there though there were flies flying around so we were constantly waving our hands shooing them away while we were eating. I can't help but think these flys are coming from where maggots are living close by. I'm thinking kitchen but can't know for sure I guess. Now, yesterday, this last time we went there it was pretty disgusting. When we got there half of the restaurant was blocked off cause they were mopping the floor. They were mopping with bleach and you know how strong bleach smell is. Just sitting there eating with bleach fumes was bad and the guy mopping actually came pretty close to our table. It was bad. Aren't floors in restaurants usually cleaned at the end of the day and not when it opens. In addition, while I was sitting there eating my Pho I noticed the owner sneezing. After he sneezed he immediately grabbed a napkin from the napkin pile used for the customers and wiped his nose and then put that napkin in the busboy's tub for dirty dishes. THEN ... he grabbed a wet rag that was sitting on one of the tables and wiped his hands on it then laid it back down on the table. This rag was used for wiping the tables. He then again, grabbed yet another napkin, wiped his nose, and did the exact same thing as he did before. I mean it was pretty disgusting. Talk about spreading germs ... I just can't believe I actually saw someone do that in a restaurant today with all the caution these days about spreading fly viruses. I don't recommend anyone going here for the atmosphere and you have to wonder how clean the kitchen is if there are flies flying around.
