O.K. we discovered Capo's purely by mistake, having stayed at one of those awful time share residences down the street and being very hungry, choosing not to cook, we walked half a block and said let's go in here. From the outside the place resembles a bad version of a Hungry Hunter restaurant.. After ringing the bell, and receiving a ""traditional"" speakeasy reception (PREPARE YOURSELF), we found ourselves in a room, where it took at least 3 minutes for our eyes to adjust to the light, or should I say the lack thereof. It was very gangster""ish"", which we loved but may very well put some folks off. We really felt like we were back in the 20's. Seated at the bar for about 15 minutes -- we had no reservations-- we found a bartender who wasn't all that friendly -- at first, but warmed up when he realized we knew our wines, and could school him on how to make a PERFECT martini. Escorted to the ""Capone"" booth for dinner, we had wonderful service, and felt as though Al himself might come through the door at any moment. The food wasn't 5 star, but it was darn tasty and very filling. \r

The entertainment was just right for the environment, and we enjoyed every minute of it! Our service was great, and we were extremely surprised when we advised our waitress that she hadn't included our martini's on the check -- to be met with the response....""consider it a bribe and come back soon"" -- which we do, every time we go to Las Vegas (5-6 times a year). We're really loooking forward to New Year's Eve!\r

By the way, don't be afraid to take the youngsters with you! They do a great job of entertaining children.
Pros: Ambience, service, fun quotient
Cons: A bit more light (just a bit) would help!
