Review content:
I just came back from a romantic getaway in Savannah. The hotel appeared to be nice from the lobby, but the sleeping rooms could use some work. They offer poster beds. When we walked in and touched, the post, it fell off. We had to call maintenence 10 minutes after checking in! There were no towels in the room and the special amenities that I had requested at the time of my reservation were not in the room upon check in as promised. The front desk staff moved us to another room, which was much nicer. I would recommend staying at this property ONLY if you get a good room rate. (less than $100 per night) I am going to wait until they complete more renovations before staying there again. The concierge, Mary, was very nice. Terreze at the front desk was great, as well. Expensive valet parking. Pros: Large jacuzzi tub in suite, Breakfast Buffet, Excellent Staff Cons: Old Hotel, Sleeping rooms need renovations
