I got the worst haircut and highlights---EVER...at Syd's. While the atmosphere was cool and relaxed, I left with hair that stunk (and the smell lasted for DAYS---even through like 25 washings) and I looked like I cut my hair myself. It was such a disappointment, especially after having friends who went there and had great results and paying over $200 for stinky hair. I hope I just caught things on an off day, but I am not willing to risk going back. For great hair in Chapel Hill, try Mina's....they fixed my Syd's disaster and I have been thrilled everytime I have had my hair done there. We refer to Syd's as ""Syd's Mullet Shop"" after my experience!!! I think guys have better luck with the hair, but the atmosphere is really chill.
