Review content:
We were looking for a new place to try so we stopped in to Al's. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who sat us promptly. There were six people with me; a few friends and a co-worker. We started off with an appetizer combo which was just huge and full of different samples from other appetizer.... the chicken fingers were my favorite and the BBQ sauce was nice n' spicy. Were all seemed to be drinking something different. I had a margarita which was awesome... pretty strong too! For dinner I ordered the beef kabob which was really big and almost something you have to see to believe. It was served with two skewers with vegetables and over a bed of rice pilaf. The steak was good and tender. I know my steaks and can tell you that it was either prime or choice for sure... I'm leaning towards the prime cut based on it's tenderness. The vegetable were cooked just right where they were charred but still fresh and crisp. The other orders I remember were a king filet, porterhouse, and burger. Everyone said they liked their food so there were no complaints here! I ended up taking home quite a bit of food which I ate the next day. Some conclusions I picked up: the atmosphere was very relaxing, our server was knowledgeable and quick to our requests and most of all the food was great. We've been to ""fancy"" steakhouses before but found Al's to be a more relaxing and ""real"" restaurant where you can just be yourself. We hung around for a couple drinks afterwards as well. There seems to be some mixed and almost comical reviews; Some of them almost sounding like they were written by the same person so take each with a grain of salt. I'll be back and I already know what I'll be ordering! Keep it up guys!
Pros: Great tasting and tender steaks, awesome drinks, fun and friendly restaurant!
Cons: None that we experienced!
