Businiess name:  Bastrop Christian Church

Review content:
Why would you employ such a sadistic monster in the first place? There must have been a hundred red flags that he displayed beforehand. It sounds like he has a short fuse, is easily frustrated over minor issues that come his way; and displays rather childish behavior one would expect from a spoiled toddler. And a cat walking through Rick's yard is about as benign as you can get. \r \r I would be so embarrassed to say that I ever went to Bastrop Christian Church because now it has the stigma of Rick Bartlett hanging over it even though the local newspaper stated that he started a church in his own home. Lovely! \r A home-based church that's leader is a Christian cat killer. Was the co-founder of Rick Bartlett's new home church; Anton LaVey? And who attends a Sunday morning church service in someone's home? Sounds like a cult. A modest storefront church is more acceptable than meeting in someone's house. This home church seems too informal and unregulated; with no checks or balances. \r \r As mentioned earlier, someone must have noticed that Rick Bartlett was a little ""off"" while working with him eight hours a day, five days a week while he was employed at Bastrop Christian Church. He must have conned the congregation into thinking he was a pillar of the community. You might as well put a new sign up on your church saying, ""Bastrop Christian Church-Home of the Cat Killer."" Do you know how many people in your congregation own cats and dogs and must cringe at the thought of your church now? This case is so famous and known through many parts of the world, why has he been allowed to continue to be a minister? Why hasn't he been defrocked and/or put behind bars in a federal prison like Huntsville? He destroyed Moody's life, why should he have any life of his own now? I see such bias and favoritism here, it makes me question how you could have let him give a sermon the next Sunday after he intentionally killed the cat? \r \r Animal rights activists do not tolerate or condone this behavior one bit and we will be following the progress of his case and the actions that your city takes in the handling of it. We are outraged and disgusted over a ""supposed minister"" destroying a neighorhood cat's life and for what? Because the cat walked across his yard? Bartlett is nothing but a 56-year old coward, liar, thief and a murderer who displays the temper tantrums of a two-year old. And where was Rick's wife when all this was happening? Was she out of town? Or Is she deaf, dumb and blind? Is she too scared to speak up or go to a women's shelter because perhaps she is being beaten as well. Or is it the old adage, birds of a feather stick together, and she's a cat killer herself? This kind of sickening sadistic cruelty they displayed to Moody the cat can only be the tip of the iceberg. \r \r Couldn't Rick's wife have fed and helped the cat and showed some maternal compassion and mercy to Moody? Or is she on the same page as her husband, Rick, and his new home based cat killing church? \r \r What really puzzles me is Rick's statement about ""fogetting the cat."" If you put a cat in a cage for three days in your car or pick-up truck, the cat is going to meow loudly, they make piercing fierce moaning noises like you would never believe would come from a little ten pound cat as anyone who has ever taken a cat on a short trip in a car can attest to. Also the cat would also rattle around loudly in that cage and it is absolutely impossible to ignore those sounds and no one in their right mind is buying Bartlett's weak story that ""he forgot"" the cat was in his truck because it was the Martin Luther King weekend. \r \r I pity who ever lives in that neighborhood because the real estate market values will decrease living anywhere near the Bartlett Family. People look to buy homes in neighborhoods that are safe and pet friendly.\r \r \r
