Review content:
After trying out the Citysearch readers choice for best hamburger in Dallas (Jake's Hamburgers), I decided to see if the Editoral choice (Angry Dog) for best burger was any better. I placed an order at the Dog for a cheesburger and fries. The fries were better than average. Very good. The cheesebuger was hot (in contrast to Jake's, which was lukewarm-to-cold), but it was not a ""juicy"" burger, it was somewhat dry. The taste reminded me of a backyard on the grill cookout burger. I have nothing against backyard cookout burgers, but that is not the taste I want when I am eating at a place that is named the Editoral winner of best burger. It did, however, taste good and the burger was big. But was it the best burger in Dallas? No. Is Jake's Hamburger the best in Dallas? No. How these two establishments were voted the best in Dallas ... I don't know. Both do have good burgers but by no means are they the best in Dallas. And since I am comparing The Angry Dog to Jake's, I like the atmosphere of the Dog over that of Jake's. Jake's had a boring, bland atmosphere while the Dog had a more enjoyable atmosphere to it. However, when it comes down to it, what is really important is the food.\r

Thus, my verdict: I prefer Jake's over Mad - excuse me - Angry Dog. Let me add, that is, IF the burger at Jake's is not cold as it was the one time I ate there. Jake's tastes better, but a cold burger is a real turn-off. To be honest, I'd rather have a Sonic burger (or maybe even a Burger King burger) over The Angry Dog or Jake's anytime. So, when you pull in to a Sonic to order a double cheesburger, tell 'em Kazoo sent ya.
Pros: Atmosphere, ok burgers, good fries
Cons: Their burgers are good but overrated
