Businiess name:  Jade Palace Chinese Restaurant

Review content:
Jade Palace doesn't look like much from the outside. Located on Spring Creek and Alma, the little restaurant sits in a strip mall between Cici's, Plano Pets, Carvel, and Firehouse Subs. You're not sure what to expect when you open those old wooden doors as you walk in, but you're immediately greeted by the staff as you do. You can either find your own seat or order to-go. Jade Palace also delivers. Take a look at the lunch menu - the daily lunch special, which consists of a main course, served with your choice of rice or noodles, soup and an egg roll is only $2.95! You simply cannot find a better deal anywhere when it comes to Chinese food. Dinner costs a bit more, but your portions are bigger and it's still very reasonable. Sure, it's not the most authentic Chinese cuisine, but it's a great example of ""Americanized"" Chinese food (i.e., Panda Express). The staff there is mostly Chinese, contrary to a lot of other Asian restaurants, who almost always have Mexican chefs. I almost always order the Sesame Chicken, which is breaded and deep fried and then tossed with a sesame seed sauce. I also love their pepper steak, although sometimes it's hard to find a piece of steak when it's buried in so many onions and bell peppers! It's still delicious. For an appetizer, try the ""cheese boats"" - cheese wrapped in won ton skins and deep fried - they are delicious! Skip the fried chicken wings because they are a bit overly breaded(if you want fried chicken, you probably shouldn't go to a Chinese restaurant anyways). Overall, the service is good, the food is great, and the price is unbelievably reasonable. You have to try this place if you're in Plano. Pros: Helluva price, great food, casual and quick dining Cons: could use a renovation inside
