Review content:
The Garden Cafe is a fun place for adults but is not very kid friendly. The lack of a Jr. Menu makes this so. Upon first entering, the over dressed hostesses give this establishment an unnecessary air of snootiness. Lunch is the better value as the portions are only slightly smaller than at dinner but the prices are much more in line. The food on the other hand is really good; I highly recommend the Southern Pecan Chicken or the Crab Cakes... remember; Sandwiches at lunch for about $7 to $9 respectively or plated for dinner with a starch or single veg (salads are extra) for about $17 to $19.... Get the picture? Open mic on Wednesday Nights can be fun but their regular solo guitarist Anson is quite talented; also quite white-bread, milk-toasty.
Pros: good food, live music, open late - bar
Cons: expensive at dinner
