I had such a horrible experience today trying to get a physical that I had to write a review. My wife set up the appointment for me a week ago and specifically asked for the first appointment so I wouldn't have to wait 2 hours for a Dr. like she did the previous week. I showed up at 5 till 8 and the doors were locked. At 8 the receptionist opened the doors and I started the process of filling out the paper work shortly after. It took me maybe 5 minutes. This is where it gets interesting. I waited for approx. 30 minutes to be taken back. Once back I sat with a nurse who was pretty good but we had to go through the whole family history paperwork again. Waste of time. At 945 she took me to a room and said the Dr. would be right in. 20 min later there was still no Dr. Normally this wouldn't bother me too much but since they made my wife wait 2 hrs the previous week and her mom 1.5 hrs for her appointment I was a little more sensitive to the time. Finally at 910 I walked out of the room. I let the nurse know I would have to reschedule. At this point she pointed to the Dr. saying, “he was ready to see me”. This made me livid! He had been outside the room the whole time. I thought he was a pharmaceutical rep when I first walked back and saw him standing there. At the same time my wife called in to see what was taking so long for me to be seen, and to get her test results. The nurse informed her that she couldn't give me her test results and that they needed to see her immediately. Needless to say this stressed both of us out. My wife made an appointment but told them it had better be an urgent matter or she was not going to pay for the appointment. They had done the same thing to her mom a few weeks earlier and when she went in everything was normal. I guess they needed the insurance money for the visit! My wife went in and once again after 20-30 minutes in the room she had to come back out and look for a nurse. The nurse explained it would be 2 minutes as she was filling out a prescription. After a few minutes the nurse left the area and walked into another room not to be seen again. My wife lost it! Here she is waiting on urgent information about her test results and nobody seemed to care. Bare in mind that this is also after I spent part of the morning there to never be seen by a Dr. She walked out and got the attention of one of the Dr.'s He apologized and grabbed her chart. BP normal, Blood work normal. One thing was a concern and would she would need to have regular checkups to keep and eye on it. Without getting into much detail it was something common in just about every woman and the reason women have yearly checkups. When she asked if this was the urgent news the Dr. began to stutter. He finally admitted there was no reason for her to come in for these results. To try and make it seem worthwhile he suggested she is at a very high risk for a certain type of cancer and that he needed to call the lab to confirm. Cancer! Are you kidding me! This is where he went! Amazing!!! Needless to say no cancer thank God. At this point she went off on the Dr. telling him about the experience she and her mom had both had and about my visit earlier in the morning. The Dr. had the nerve to lie and tell her that I was 30 minutes late to my appointment. I already explained when I arrived for my appointment. Sorry to ramble on this review but the fact that the Dr. would blatantly lie to my wife forced me to take action. This has to be the worst experience I have ever had at a medical institution. Neither my family nor I have ever been treated this inconsiderately. The Dr. made it well known that his time was much more important than mine or my wife’s. We will find another Dr. that actually cares.
