It pains me to think that this was actually a true experience....(?) I can't help but wonder if it was & who would write such horrible things about a home grown business striving to bring organic foods in an eclectic upscale enviroment to a town that has fallen inlove with the food/concept & staff. There are no chemicals used in the salon next door...so I am extremely unsure of what you could be smelling especially because walls & doors divide..? ? & As for the door being open? In Texas it would be on the best of day that a door might be a jar... and not to save money...but to quickly tend to customers sitting outside on tables. And for your ugly remarks about the cupcakes~ the cafe has two artisan bakers & our cupcakes are not 75cents...they are quite amazing and the sales orders prove that in catering & take out alone! As for the owner not appearing to be present on a Saturday~ the owner who is a single mother to 3 children under age 7, one with special needs is present 85 percent of the time. The business is open 7 days a week so it may have been possible that she was spending time with her children. When she is not present in the cafe highly qualified managers are present as are the culinary artist that prepare the food. We welcome you back to try the cafe again... as your perspective may be changed. Our staff is one of the main reasons neighbors have made this a favorite eatery....
