Review content:
My husband spotted this cafe a few months ago and we decided to try it for dinner. Upon entering the restaurant, I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere...... eclectic, artistic, unique, quirky, elegant, fun....... It's not your typical ""cookie cutter"" cafe, as most are in the Magnolia and The Woodlands areas. This cafe has a great personality! It's very relaxed.....There's vintage style movie posters on the wall, crystal chandeliers hanging all over the cafe, a nook with books to read and even an area for little girls to play dress up (fairy tale costumes, etc) We found the service to be EXCELLENT....very friendly and personably, very prompt. For dinner, I had a grilled chicken salad with fresh strawberries and a strawberry balsamic dressing. My husband ate a grilled panini. The food was fresh and delicious.....the coffee was really good. (I'm very picky about coffee, and most restaurants make their coffee too weak, but the coffee at this cafe was just right!)
We have also eaten there for breakfast......I suggest their delectable homemade crepes (especially the Nutella and banana crepe) and their breakfast tacos are wonderful! The menu suggests a breakfast taco with chorizo, potato, egg and cheese, but I was told by my waiter that you can create and build your own taco creation if you'd like. So, I asked for a tender beef fajita meat, instead of the chorizo and had them add fresh cilantro and some diced red onion. BEST breakfast tacos I've had in a long time! This was not a Tex-mex style that muddies up all the flavors but rather simple and fresh....letting all the individual flavors of the food to shine through. The pico de gallo and salsa were homemade and you could tell there was love put into this food. As you're waiting for your food to arrive, you can enjoy browsing the store attached to the cafe (called ""The Secret Kingdom""). The Dragonfly Cafe is simply a gem.........I'm so glad we found it! :)
