I don't know where to begin; I've never had a pedicure quite like this one before in my life. First of all - there's a basic, starter price at this shop of $22.00 for the pedicure which I thought might at least include shaping my toenails and exfoliating calluses - wrong! The technician waited until she had taken my previous polish off to inform me that the $22.00 was, basically, a polish change! If I wanted a foot massage, callous remover and even filing - it was going to cost me extra a la carte! I couldn't believe it.... When I insisted she give me just the basics for $22.00 - she actually asked me why I intended to go back out into the world w/ugly calluses still on my feet. Unreal.... Although they provide these pedicures in their spa like chairs - this was no zen like experience, let me tell you.... I asked the technician to at least file my toe nails and she briefly filed two of them then said, ""I don't have time to do the rest!"" She, also brought up the money issue three more times in my brief experience with her by telling me that I wasn't taking good care of myself and why didn't I want to be pampered for extra money? Then she complained about the salon being short staffed.
Wow, I didn't know what to even say - I felt that I was being held captive due to the fact that she'd already taken off my polish before this pressurized sales schpell came forth from her. The entire pedicure lasted just 17 minutes - she didn't even put toe dividers or cotton between my toes when she painted them and I left the salon with polish having rubbed off on all my other toes as a result. This person was very bothered by the fact that I only wanted the ""cheap"" $22.00 treatment and was determined to prove a point by rushing through this quick experience in just a few minutes. Before I left, she once again admonished me to start treating myself better and to get pedicures at her shop more often. By the way, lest you think that this was an isolated incident with just one technician, I heard the other patrons being hounded about these same additional costs, also. I will NOT be back and will warn people I know to stay away. I had to give one ""STAR"" to this place only because it was at least clean and this review site won't let me leave that category blank as I'd rather do. Stay away - your dollar doesn't get you anything at this place except a bad attitude and disrespect!!!
