Businiess name:  Rouster's Apple House

Review content:
Calling all apple lovers! The fall brings few activities to the Cincinnati Tri-State area that rival the autumnal atmosphere to experience at Rouster's Apple House. This family owned business has been around for many, many years and has been a family tradition for us for many years as well. The ""House"" itself is an old barn like structure with exposure to heat and cool, easily seen from the road. Variety is the spice of life at Rousters-they have over 40 types of apples available at different times from late August through November. If you are lucky enough to go on a cold fall day, they usually have a nice fire going in the fireplace. If you are even luckier, they will have hot spiced cider to purchase by the cup-not that they won't offer you a sample of their cool, sweet cider anytime that you come in to browse. (Of course, a sample of cider is never enough for us-they sell it to go from individual size sealed containers to gallon. But don't worry, whether it is cold or hot outside, their ""cider pops"" (popsicles) are a very tasty treat too. Another must have is a jar of their apple butter-made with or without added sugar and good either way. Lots of other fun treats are there to enjoy from small apples for small kids to sample to beautiful mums in season. They have great customer friendly signs describing what each apple tastes like, what texture it has and what it is best used for. However, if you can't make up your mind on what apple sounds best, just ask for a sample, they will cut you a piece of one to try. I recommend Galas in early fall and of course the Rouster's exclusive, Krispy. If you come on a weekend from mid September through October, be prepared for crowds and to wait in line to pay for possibly 15 minutes or more. But take my advice, it is well worth it! Don't trust me? The Graeter's Ice Cream of Cincinnati uses Rouster's Jonathon apples for their caramel apples and apple cider sorbet in the fall. Pros: Atmosphere and Apples Cons: Nothing
