During the 2007 pet scare when pet stores around the United States had a recall on the dog and cat food Science Diet product which killed many pet owner's loved ones, this pet store decided not to throw away any of their product. As a result they poisoned and killed my 12 year old Chihuahua, Blacky. Before this tragedy, my family and I were very loyal to this store despite its dirty conditions. Over the years we have tried to stay away from this store and after consideration decided to buy only dog pampers and cat flee and tick liquid repellent. This again was a nightmare. The pet flee and tick repellent made by the monster Hartz Corporation nearly killed our cat. Luckily my family and I were able to take him to the animal emergency in time and after a very, very, very close call and $2000 later, he survived. My mother went back to the store to inform Petland of what had happened and show them the bills and all they could do is laugh it off..literally. Do not buy anything from this store!!! I rather buy my pet products from Petco stores in Manhattan as their employees and staff actually know of what they are selling and have a better knowledge on pets. I hope this store gets shut down eventually. And please do your research on anything you buy for your pets beforehand. Never buy any products from the Hartz Corporation. THEY KILL YOUR PETS!!!
