Review content:
It is understandble that no matter how cautious or good a cleaner is, mistakes are bound to happen. The measure of the cleaner, as with all business, is not how well it handles the good transactions, but what it does when it makes a mistake. The first mistake this place made caused my Silk tie from Express to bleach and was ruined beyond repair. For this, they issued me a $25 certificate for dry cleaning. I was o.k with that recourse and decided to continue to use them. However, the second mistake looked like someone spilled a bottle of bleach or nail polish remover on my beautiful pink dress shirt causing discloraton on the sleeves and abdomen area. This time, the shirt was sent off for laundry on ticket # 2646 dated 6/3/06 and the owner said that he would try and get it out with dry cleaning. The shirt was dropped off with no spots and no request for any spot removal. I was issued a new ticket with number 22554 dated 6/8/06 with the comment ""Respot"". However, when they was unable to remove the problem with dry cleaning, the owner informed me that the shirt arrived with the stain. He refused to discuss the issue with me and told me that the stain was already there when I bought the shirt in. I told him that there was no stain and showed him the original ticket with no indication of any request for spot removal. He told me that the ticket doesn't have to have any comments for spot removal. When I asked the front clerk for the phone and contact information of the place, he told me that I was not to bother his employees and that I was to leave right away. We all have bad days when we are not at our best, and at first I attributed his rudness and lack of customer service skills to having a bad day. However, when I went to tell the situation to other colleagues, I found that I was not the first time he had been rude to other customers. The owner of the Nail shop in the same shopping center claims that he ruined a 300 dollar suit of hers by leaving burn marks in the shoulders and collars. He then claimed that the marks were already there when she bought the suit in, sound familiar? A customer at the local beauty store, also in the same shopping center informed me that she lost a dress due to discloration from the same cleaner. Incidently, the dress was also pink. All business are bound to make mistakes no matter how experienced or well versed they are in their field. However, when business refuse to stand up and admit their faults, they DO NOT DESERVE YOUR PATRONAGE!!!!!! This shop is an eye sore in an otherwise well established shopping center! The cost of to replace my shirt and tie is minimal to say the least, but it is the attitude of the OWNER, of all people, that leaves the experience with something to be desired. That something is just a simple matter of courage to face up to one's mistakes.
Pros: It's 1.89
Cons: Having to deal with the rude services of the Owner
