El Loco Cafe starting meal price around $9.\r
For the last 20 years I have given them a chance from time to time. They are one of the most expensive Mexican restaurant's in the Capital Region and they STILL don't give their guests chips.\r
So lets say you choose to pay for one basket of $1 chips, Salsa starts at $2.75 w/chips, they offer you a selection of 3 sauces (one called loco). El Loco STILL has those ridiculously tiny paper cups. So you can shove your chip into a dixi cup of sauce if you like!! .. \r
\r
My bean Quesadilla was around $10. One flower tortilla, black beans, cheese, some lettuce with rice on the side. The same dish in San Diego would have been $4.50. My friend ordered an ice tea, and when asked if he would like another, the waitress added, ""b/c that's the only drink with free refills."" \r
\r
I have always loved El Loco's atmosphere and friendly waitstaff, but I am officially done. Just b/c you have always done things a certain way doesn't make it good.
