Review content:
I hate reo's ribs, because I once drove out there and it was like in a twilight zone...like I traveled back in time of poor texas neighbor hood back in 70's....but to all you critics, ask your self this...how many bbq joint that you know of, will serve you a fresh bbq off their grill? no one unless it's done yourself! it's just not physically possible unless the joint is hopping to turn their food around fast, and Portland or Beaverton crowd isn't your bbq eating clients. So they will either get microwaved food or from oven re-heated stuff, and thereby hangs a tail of all these critics that supposedly know the bbq business! I sincerely don't know of any quality bbq place in Northwest unless except somewhat acceptable place like Podnah's or Campbell's , and even at that food is not going to be perfectly consistent sometimes because it's cooked in a wood smoker(I've seen their smoker)...If a bbq food is too perfect and consistent everytime, it's coming from the electric or gas oven, or one of those stainless steel pellet burning digital timer and thermostat like the way they do at the Russell street bbq! and that's not a real bbq.. To me, I don't want no gas, electric, pellets or briquets of charcoal, I want a real WOOD burning bbq even if it's in a drum can...and even if it's scorched sometimes, you have to give credit to all those folks working hard to serve you a bbq best they can. That is why I gave reo's three stars, I sympathize their effort. and these so-called bbq critics are just looking for something to nag at....in this bad economy times.
