Review content:
This place might seem nice because it is fairly clean, but it is absolutely APPALLING how many animals they have living in one tiny loud shop. There were dozens of birds cooped up in one corner of the store, and a Blue Macaw kept in a cage that was much too small for its size. I didn't look closely at the puppies individually, but I can't help but think they must have all come from a breeding mill since they were so many different breeds and all pretty much the same age. I can't imagine they would contact that many different individual breeders to keep that many puppies ""in stock"" in their store. Also they know NOTHING about caring for pet rats- they pick them up by their tails and use pine bedding in the cage, both of which are EXTREMELY harmful to these creatures. They had no toys or food in the cage, only a pvc pipe for all of them to lay in. When I asked for assistance, the lady just picked up the pipe in which they were sleeping and very carelessly flung them all onto the cage floor. I know its tempting to overlook faults and forgive a small ""mom and pop's"" store, but I strongly recommend not to support them. If you're looking for a puppy of a specific breed, consider calling any of the many rescue organizations or AKC breeders around Buncombe or Henderson county. Also if you're looking for a rat as I was, read into the characteristics of an ideal environment from which to get one. This place is DEFINITELY NOT it.
