Review content:
I originally went to the Melrose location.
I found a couple items.
I also noted several more items to think about. BUT GET THIS: This place does not sell real vintage-----or vintage-inspired. They sell counterfeit ""vintage"" items, that they try to pass as the real thing, thus taking the customers for fools. And because of that, I will not go back to this place.
The few items I was thinking about? Yesterday I happened to go to a different( Sherman Oaks) location. Know what I saw first thing when I walked in? The EXACT same items as the Melrose location----in mass quantities.
And as I looked further, I clearly saw what they were trying to do.
This chain of stores is counterfeit.
Lately, Many ""vintage"" sellers( On-line: DOLL HOUSE vintage lingerie and others) are actually trying to fool consumers by claiming their items are ""real vintage"", but actually they are cheap items, bought in quantities in Downtown L.A., then put up at inflated prices and passed off as something that they really are not.
f you seek genuine vintage merchandise, please do not buy at American Vintage or on line at: Doll house vintage lingerie. These are not real merchants and you will be very dissappointed.
For the real, genuine articles, go to: ecrater dot com ( store name: Sic Mystic) or to the vintage on-line site: htt p sicmystic.ecrater dot com. At this store, I found genuine 60's ,70's, 80's handbags, designer shoes, lingerie, imported Art Deco from Paris and many other stunning items that I bought and LOVED!!
