I lived in Port St. Lucie for less than two years, and managed to visit five of the different Pueblo Viejo locations, including the one in Fort Pierce. This one (at the intersection of PSL & Morningside) was my favorite, due to the fun decor and super friendly service, plus it was the closest to my house. But I must stress, all of the Pueblo Viejo restaurants have DELICIOUS food... ABSOLUTELY THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD I'VE EVER TASTED!.. and OUTSTANDING service. If you want an amazing, authentic, delicious meal with friendly service, go to your nearest Pueblo Viejo. Their shredded beef tacos are outstanding, as is the Chile Colorado and Chile Verde. The fajitas, the chicken dishes... You literally cannot go wrong with ANYTHING on their menu. Even simple sides like rice & beans, salsa, and guacamole, are absolute perfection. The combo plates are a good and inexpensive way to introduce yourself to their stuff. Try two tacos, or a taco & enchilada combo. At under eight bucks, you can't go wrong. (and if you go there before 5pm and get lunch, or the early bird special, the combo plates are even cheaper!) You'll feel totally comfortable with their great customer service, too, even if you don't speak a word of spanish. The reason the place is so delicious and authentic is because it's Mexican-owned- and-run, but they treat EVERYONE with the same attention and respect, and the quickest and friendliest service ever. I used to eat there as often as I could. It's the most authentic mexican food I have ever tasted in America (and I'm a huge fan of mexican food - I've been to MANY mexican restaurants in Florida and New York City, but this place is absolutely number one in my book.) I often tell people that I only miss two things about Port St. Lucie: The beaches, and Pueblo Viejo. I literally cannot wait to come back and visit, because Pueblo will be my first stop. TRY IT!!! You'll love it! (and no, I don't work for them. I'm just a fan!) Pros: Delicious, Authentic, Friendly
