uring the winter months the tenants are cold. the landlord keeps the heat on 50 degrees to warm 11 apartments. the maintenance workers place plastic and duck tape on the windows to try to keep the air out. maintenance also provide space heaters that almost cause an electrical fire, which makes the fuse box and the outlet that the heater is plugged into spark. there are rodents. there is black mold in the bathrooms. tenants have to beg for things such as an exterminator, new rugs(that you can clearly see in damaged from the previous tenants), heat. also because certain tenants not having shut off valves for their hot water, whenever something pertaining to their water in their apartment happens, the water will be shut off in the building without notice. the boro's L&I knows of the conditions of the complex. the state that they will shut the complexes down, but have failed to do so. the landlord receives around $700 for 1 bedroom apartments, $840 for 2 bedrooms, and also funding from the housing authority. the apartment that is shown to the prespective tenant during a showing is not the apartment that the prespective will receive. also that is if an apartment is shown. sometimes the rental agent will state that the apartment is not complete. PLEASE do not waste your money or sanity in this apartment complex.
